Athens ~ we arrived at the Piraeus Port in the morning of 7:30am. It was a pleasant sunny day.
We walked abt 30 mins to Piraeus Metro Station and supposed to take 40-min Line 1 (green) metro to Acropolis. However, when we got to the 2nd stop, we suddenly heard an announcement (of cos in Greek!), then saw all the local people just rushing out of the train with angry faces…We were sort of confused and had no ideas what’d happened, how to ask! 
I suddenly recalled a movie “Lost in Translation”!
When the moment we were thinking what’s to do next, one local young Greek man approached us and tried his best to explain in broken English to us that the 3rd stop was closed for emergency repairing work and we had to use other means of transportation. This young guy then asked us, by using body language + limited English, to follow him...

To be honest, we had no clue at all where he wanted to take us to, or if we should “TRUST” him, we simply followed him. We crossed the streets, down the tunnel to another side of the train station (abt 10-min walk). We finally saw a tram station called Filaro and he told us the tram could take us to the city. What a relief !!! 
As a “tourist”, to have encountered such an unexpected traffic problem could be a nightmare, especially in a place where people speak very little English and pick-pockets are commonly seen. It was extremely lucky to have met such a nice Greek young man!!!
