Stage 1
Running with small steps on flat and downhill made me 40min faster than my schedule at CP1.
Stage 2
Without shelter of trees, I go up Tung Yeung Shan with an old umbrella, and disposed of it after the uphill.
45min faster than the schedule at CP2.
There was a little trouble. When I was stretching the left quads,
my left knee touched on the steps and bled at once.
Luckily, nothing wrong with the knee joint.
Stage 3
This should be a critical stage, as running on the catch water could gain 15min,
but possibly lose more later on if I become exhausted.
I ran on the first half, and walk for the rest.
I probably exhausted after the catch water,
and I have some stomach upset after eating a banana at each CP.
Finishing less than 8 hr (the first 150 finishers) could earn a merit medal last year,
but I thought only 7.5 hr could guarantee,
and at that time, it's only half and half.
Stage 4
Stretching was done thoroughly, and I ate and drank nothing at CP4.
After walking up the trail for 15min, I didn't feel any stomach upset and felt a little hungry.
So I ate a mouthful of power bar.
The whole body seemed to be recovered.
Stage 5
Fast walking without running on flat was the rule to complete the reservoir section,
except some mild down slope.
I gained the momentum to pass about 10 people on running those mild down slope.
Going up Lead Mine Pass was the last challenge.
I just walk with small steps at 100% power.
Stage 6
Passing Lead Mine Pass without stopping, I "roll" downhill.
At 6hr 53min, a sub-8-hour finish was guaranteed,
and the merit medal was most likely.
On the last flat, there was a mild down slope,
I also passed one people by the same way,
see what happened in the movie.
