Day 7
Today we would go back to Hong Kong. In the whole trip, there were lots of happy things and unhappy things, but it was still valued to join this trip. It was hoped that more people in Hong Kong would know the actual situation of Thailand people after tsunami. They really needed lots of donations to help them to rebuild their home, but did charity organizations know how the donations had been used in those areas? Had the charity organization send any officers to disaster areas to help the reconstruction and to monitor how the government used those donations? When many advertisements asked people not to forget people in South-east Asia, a translator in Khao Lak was urgent to tell us that the medical services of Red Cross would withdraw from one campsite in Khao Lak. It is meant that no doctor or medical services would be provided in campsite. When people were appreciated about some disaster areas were recovered so quickly, people also started to work again. Did anybody think about those people in villages which were not area of tourist? Did the people in such villages get support from those charity organizations? Did anybody help them to develop theirnew career life?
