An estimated 230,000 people had died; 300,000 had been juried; 250,000 residences and 30,000 commercial buildings were severely damaged or had collapsed; 1,000,000 made homeless. (Reported by BBC news on 12 Feb 2010)
ERU Referral Hospital (German/ Finnish RC) was deployed and started the operation since 24 January 2010.
As an operating theatre nurse, I was deployed to ERU Referral Hospital in Carrefour for the second rotation (23 Feb-30 Mar 2010). I worked in both Sterilization and Operating theatre with other delegates and local staff.
